Shagran Hassan is passionate about K-12 education, youth development, social impact, and the nonprofit sector. He graduated from Yale University in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science and a focus on South Asia, the Muslim world, and international development. After working under the CEO at Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. in Washington D.C., Shagran served as a Managing Director of Strategy at Teach For America on the east coast, and then spent a year helping to launch an education technology startup in San Francisco. In between, he has worked on political campaigns, designed educational curriculum, and been a classroom teacher.
Shamila Zindani is a native Texan who graduated from Cornell University in snowy upstate New York, where she studied Chemical Engineering and Business. After graduation, she started working for Essence, a digital media agency. While at Essence, she worked on various Google accounts, including Google+, YouTube and Chromecast. Shamila moved to the Bay Area last year to work on a rotation with YouTube’s marketing and media team. Upon completing her rotation, she returned to Essence as an account manager for Google’s B2B accounts. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, travelling, Harry Potter movie marathons, and collecting all four railroads on Monopoly.
Rahim Bhimani is an industrial designer/design strategist originally from Toronto, Canada. He is currently a Design Strategist/UX Designer at Ixonos and works with business development. Rahim has a background in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and an MBA in Design Strategy from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. He recently designed a coaster set exclusively for the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, where it is currently being sold at the gift shop. He loves creative problem solving, technology and simple solutions to complex problems. His inspiration comes from his surroundings, traveling and electronic trance music group Above & Beyond.
